A Music Lover’s New Toy

A real passion of mine is music, and I’ve been playing since I was little. I own several guitars, a drum kit, and a digital piano, and I love to play my own music as well as learning the songs of others.

Music is the best way for me to clear my head and relieve stress, and I quite often sit at my piano and composing pieces of music which really show how I feel. Whilst some people will talk their problems out, I have found that using my emotions to write a piece of music will do far more to alleviate my worries and fears.

Recently I have come into some money and am considering the possibility of investing in a grand piano for my house. I have always dreamed of having this type of classical instrument and being able to have it as a focal point for a music room, and it finally looks like I’ll be able to have my wish granted. If I have a dinner party with a few of my musical buddies then I’m sure we will make full use of it and have a quality jam session around it.

Alternatively I could buy an upright style piano as this would be a good way to save space whilst not detracting from sound quality. I have seen a couple of really nice upright pianos through online retailers and at a good price too, so this could be the perfect way to invest in more than one instrument.

Whether or not I get a grand piano or an upright piano is something that I will debate for a little longer before I make my decision, but whatever I decide to do, I know that I will have a great sounding new instrument to add to my collection.
