Earth Hour video spots against water overspend air pollution
It will be an Earth Hour on the 26 of March 2011 and Russian activists with the help of WWF have done these videos explaining people how they can help our planet.
The first social video spot is against water overspend. You cam see how a beautiful girl is taking a bath when a Panda appears in the bathroom and turns off the water. Then goes a motto: “Taking a shower instead of a bath you spend less water in 5 times.” Here you can watch this video:
The second social video is against air pollution by cars. When a girl just starts her car, on the backseat appears a big Panda and turns of the engine. Then goes a motto: “Use public transport suck as metro, tram or bus instead of a car as it will reduce air pollution in thousand times.” Here you can watch this video:

Squirrel from Hell (social video against alcoholism)
It goes without saying that Russia is one of the most strong alcohol drinking countries in the world and lots of Russian people die everyday because of it. The Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development in recent years started using Internet to get access to younger generation as it is one of the most effective channels of communication for it. And the most successful project is a social video known as “A squirrel from Hell”. In this video a funny squirrel describes a common situation with a guy who has delirium (in Russian slang “delirium” is also known as “squirrel”). It shows how miserable a person can be when he acts under the influence of alcohol.
Now this Squirrel has a twitter account and everyone can follow it and get short massages from “Squirrel from Hell”.

Here could be your body
In Nizhnij Novgorod city government decided to launch an information campaign against people who drink alcohol while driving. You know that in Russia this problem is extremely important as everyday people die because of drunken drivers. In the city a special billboard (you can see it on the photos) appeared. It looked like a guy broke through the billboard with splashed of blood around him. After four days it was decided to disassemble the billboard as there have been too many claims.
Social advertising to encourage small business
VneshEconomBank paied ROCK Films Studio to develop a social campaign “Believe in your business”. Three TV spots are rotated on different TV channels such as Russia 2, Russia 24, TNT, REN-TV, 5th Channel.
The main idea of these video spots is to encourage small business as it’s a well known fact that in Russia small business has lots of barriers suck as briberies, greedy officials and bureaucratism. It is the first attempt to change people’s opinion in Russia to businessmen.

Social advertising campaign against illegal video downloads
Torrents and illegal warez sites is a great problem all over the world and especially in Russia. It is a well known fact that here in Russia we do not like buying movies, software or music as it is easer and absolutely free to download it from social networks like Vkontakte, from different torrent trackers like Rutracker and from warez websites which appear everyday.
But in 2011 Russian government launched a new social project “Watch legal video”. Two social video spots for TV have been created from which everyone can learn that according to Russian legislation storage and distribution of videos without official permission is illegal and everyone can be imprisoned for 2 years.
